Notre Dame
At Notre Dame, I'm pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering.
I chose computer engineering (CPEG) as opposed to CS because I'm equally interested in hardware and software.
CPEG at Notre Dame is pretty much just CS but you take 4 EE classes instead of theory-heavy CS classes, which I like.
At a lot of schools CPEG is basically EE with a couple CS classes, but at Notre Dame it's the opposite.
I'd still recommend it over EE because EE's have to take some tough courses that aren't super interesting (in my opinion), and just have a generally harder curriculum.
The CPEG workload isn't too bad, but it definitely ramps up around sophomore spring to end of junior year. Still, I am able to play a sport (rugby🏉), have 2 jobs (TA and pizza chef🍕), be in a club (Rocketry🚀), do personal projects 💻(sometimes), and still have plenty of time for my social life.
If you manage your time well, you'll be completely fine and won't spend much a crazy amount of time outside of class doing work.
I got to study abroad in London🇬🇧 over my freshman summer, and it was an amazing experience. It got me two classes ahead, and I had an awesome time. I'd highly recommend it if you can.
It's nice to study abroad in the summer because you don't have to move any classes around or worry about missing anything on campus.
If you care, below are the courses I've taken so far (you probably don't).
